My name is Dr. Alison Whiter 

Dr. Alison Whiter Art City Vets Veterinarian

Dr. Alison Whiter grew up in NJ and received her undergraduate degree in Animal Science from the University of Delaware. She then ventured west to pursue her doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Oklahoma State University, followed by a Small Animal Medical and Surgical Internship at Texas A & M University. She has been practicing small animal general medicine since 2004, most recently in Mount Laurel, NJ at a large, 24-hour emergency hospital. In addition to veterinary medicine, Dr. Whiter has a passion for education and devotes much of her time to teaching veterinary nursing students at Harcum College in Bryn Mawr, PA. She also volunteers her time for The Street Dog Coalition, a national volunteer-organization that provides free veterinary care to pets of the homeless population. She is a co-team leader for the Philadelphia chapter. Dr. Whiter lives in the PA suburbs with her husband Randy, her two young sons Alex and Ryan, her dog Vivi, and her cat Simon. She is an avid runner and a member of a Dragon Boat team that regularly paddles on the Schuylkill River. In her free time, she also enjoys reading, bike riding, playing the piano, and making memories with her amazing family.
