Dr. Alison Whiter received her undergraduate degree in Animal Science from University of Delaware and earned her DVM degree from Oklahoma State University. She completed a small animal medicine and surgery internship at Texas A&M University and has been practicing since 2004.

Dr. Whiter works part time at Art City Vets while serving full time as an Associate Professor at Harcum College, where she is dedicated to teaching and mentoring future veterinary nurses.

She lives in the Philadelphia suburbs with her two teenage sons, Alex and Ryan, and her dog, Lou. Outside of work, Dr. Whiter is an avid runner and a member of a dragon boat team that regularly paddles on the Schuylkill River.
