My name is Dr. Nicholas Krause

Dr. Nicholas Krause Art City Vets

Dr. Nicholas Krause is a dedicated and compassionate veterinarian who grew up in Allentown, PA. From a young age, Dr. Krause has been deeply interested in taking care of animals, a passion that guided his career path. He started his hands-on experience early, volunteering at VCA East Penn during high school and college. His commitment to veterinary medicine continued as he worked as a technician in various departments, including the hospitalization ward, ICU, and ER at the UF Small Animal Hospital during his time in veterinary school. Additionally, Dr. Krause volunteered at Operation Catnip, a trap-neuter-release low-cost cat surgical clinic, refining his surgical skills and gaining invaluable experience.

Dr. Krause graduated from Penn State in 2017 with a degree in Veterinary and Biomedical Science, where he consistently made the Dean’s List. He then pursued his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Florida, graduating in 2021. During his time at UF, Dr. Krause earned the American Association of Feline Practitioners Feline Surgery and Medicine Award and the Michael Schaer Endowed Scholarship, recognizing his dedication and excellence in the field. He joined his current veterinary hospital in June 2024, bringing with him a wealth of knowledge and experience.

Dr. Krause’s professional interests include surgery, internal medicine, and urgent care/emergency. He is an active member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society. For Dr. Krause, the most satisfying aspect of being a veterinarian is developing positive relationships with clients and becoming an integral part of their pets’ lives, ultimately improving their quality of life. Outside of work, Nicholas enjoys exercising, weightlifting, playing music, and spending time with his fiance Fiona. Fiona is currently a veterinary student at St. George. He shares his home with two domestic shorthair cats, Squirtle and Alaska, and a Plott Hound named Hank, who bring joy and companionship to his life.
