Dr. Ilysa Salit is originally from Long Island, NY, and has called Philadelphia home since moving here for vet school. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Animal Behavior from Bucknell University before completing her VMD at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine.

Following graduation, she worked as an emergency veterinarian at a large specialty and emergency hospital, where she developed a strong interest in emergency and critical care.

Dr. Salit is excited to now be part of the Art City Vets team, where she looks forward to continuing to grow her skills while providing compassionate, relationship-centered care to pets and their families. Her goal is to provide thoughtful, compassionate care and help make each visit as positive and stress-free as possible.

Outside of work, Dr. Salit enjoys spending time with her friends, family, and fiancé, as well as with their three pets: two orange cats, Roo and Pez, and their dog, Winston. She also enjoys working out, traveling, and exploring Philadelphia's vibrant food scene.
