Hello

My name is Dr. Louisa Petronis

Your Philly Vet Art City Vets Philadelphia

Dr. Louisa Petronis, originally from Westchester, NY, moved to Philadelphia 10 years ago to pursue a career in Veterinary medicine. She attended Loyola University in Maryland where she studied creative writing and English. After graduation, she became involved with a local animal shelter, working in their veterinary spay and neuter clinic. Realizing her love for veterinary medicine, she moved to Philadelphia and completed a Pre-health Post-baccalaureate at the University of Pennsylvania. While in the post baccalaureate, she began working as a Nursing assistant in the PennVet ICU, something she continued through veterinary school. She graduated from University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 2018. She was awarded the Senior Veterinary Student Outstanding Patient Care award during her final clinical year. After graduation she worked as an associate veterinarian at a busy private practice near Manayunk, where she developed her interest in surgery and urgent care. Dr. Petronis chose to pursue a career as a private practitioner based on her belief that preventative medicine and strong client relationships translate into better patient care. Dr. Petronis lives in Fitler square with her two cats, Mabel and Rickety Cricket, and her dog Willow. When she isn’t working, she enjoys getting outdoors and staying active by swimming, biking, and more recently, golfing.
