My name is Dr. Edward Aller
Dr. Edward Aller has called Philadelphia home for the past 10 years. He received an undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences from the State University of New York at Binghamton, and soon after pursued his doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. Following graduation, he began his veterinary career, first at a South Jersey animal hospital treating a wide variety of animals and then for the past four years at a large 24-Hour Emergency & Specialty Care facility in Mount Laurel, NJ. Working at the specialty facility gave Dr. Aller the added experience of seeing a large variety of emergency cases, as well as learning from top specialists. His love of emergency, exotic, and general practice inspired him to take his career to the next level with the creation of Art City Vets in 2018. As Dr. Aller puts it, “The vision to start Art City Vets began from the desire to combine the level of medicine expected from a specialty/referral center with the warm, friendly feeling of a small convenient neighborhood veterinarian. Being a member of this local community, I want to provide its residents with a compassionate and thorough experience for every pet that comes through my door. I feel that this community deserves that type of hands-on, individualized care that puts the pet’s experience first.” Dr. Aller is a proud member of Alpha Psi and the Pennsylvania Veterinary Medical Association, and has special interests in emergency surgery and exotic pet care in addition to general medicine. Dr. Aller resides in Philadelphia and shares his home with his wife Mariana and his cat King Arthur. Dr. Aller is a passionate environmentalist and advocate for the protection of both aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems and the animals who live in them. In his leisure time, you can find him scuba diving, hiking, biking, and exploring the natural world. He is also an avid gardener and chef.
