Dr. Joyce Chi grew up in Taipei, Taiwan. At a young age, her family dog had a severe dental disease that was treated by a veterinarian, which ultimately motivated her to pursue this occupation. She attended National Taiwan University where she earned her doctorate of veterinary medicine.

Dr. Chi believes there are many satisfying aspects about being a veterinarian, but what stands out most to her is, “The interaction with both the owner and the patient. Being a veterinarian allows me to know the story about the owner and the patient, each case is different, and I enjoy the continued learning every day.”  Her professional interests include emergency medicine and surgery. Dr. Chi is also a proud member of the American Veterinary Medical Association.

She shares her home with her three cats, Luca, Xavier, and Abby. Some of her hobbies include going to the movies, reading, jogging, solving jigsaw puzzles, and most importantly spending time with her two cats.
